What I Was Never Taught
Over the last few years, I have come to realized that Jesus was present and active in the Old Testament. He was more than just a type or shadow of someone in the Bible– Jesus was a guiding force who partnered with Yahweh to bring the descendants of Abraham into covenant. Judges 2:1 says, “The angel of the LORD… said, ‘I brought you out of Egypt…’”. The book of Jude verse 5 in the NET Bible says, “Now I desire to remind you… that Jesus, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt…”.

Chris Monaghan and his wife, Debbie, live near Richmond, Indiana, U.S.A. Chris is the Senior Leaders of Gateway Church and lead translator of the Name Translation Bible (TNT). Chris is also the founder of the Gateway Hunger Relief Center that feeds over 1000 families each month in his region. Chris has traveled to three continents, and regularly sees physical and emotional healings take place, Chris has authored fifteen books and has written more than 25 worship songs. Chris is a graduate of Penn State University, has a Master of Biblical Studies from Messiah Biblical Institute, and has taught and studied at many other Seminaries and Bible schools.
